I don’t get it.
In the US it was recently made legal to jailbreak smartphones, whereas it was previously illegal as a “breach of copyright”.
It was ruled that the only real reason phones were locked to networks or blocked 3rd party software, was for the company’s on financial benefits, and didn’t have anything to do with copyright anyway.
Apple hates this, because it means they potentially lose a small amount of profit
yeah, what’s apple’s problem? they are just doing apple’s job by making the iPhone suck less, without any pay, i might add!
Because while Apple will still be making money from the App store, they won’t be making as much money, so I guess all the voided warranties means phones they won’t have to service. Now if there was a clause where it couldn’t void the warranty, they would likely just stop honoring the warranty.

Lol, thats exactly what I was going to say. I’ve done it plenty of times when dust gets behind my iphone screen and I have them replace it.
