None of the pop tarts today can. They have this voice correcting software now that can make the most tone deaf person sound as good as Susan Boyle. So they record their off key crud, then lip sync onstage. Because of this record companies only look for people with nice bodies, not nice voices. And of course anyone under 30, because “No one wants an album by someone over 30.” Yeah, right.
Someone needs to remind the record company people that “It’s about the MUSIC, stupid!” and show them that we want people with actual talent. They can look like a cross between the Hunchback Of Notre Dame (Quasimodo) and The Phantom Of The Opera (Erik) and be 90 years old. I’d still buy their album & go to their concerts if they can actually sing!

dude, you guys should get your facts straight…lady gaga is one of the few pop stars that CAN sing. Sure, some of her live performances don’t sound quite right but it’s because she can’t humanly imitate an electronic sound. People keep forgetting that lady gaga started out as a songwriter for other artists and stereotype her just because she’s famous.
