No effort at all. White stack of cake, or cake like substance falls to the ground and turns to a pile of shit with a round piece of cardboard on it on some jail cell floor….awesome.
You’d get it if you saw Saturday Night Live with Taylor Swift. The guy saying ‘Happy birthday to the ground’ is Andy Samberg, lead singer of the satire music group, The Lonely Island. The Lonely Island’s most recent song, ‘Threw it to the ground’ was featured on that SNL episode.
Oh I see…the third frame is an upside-down cake in the process of smashing into the ground. I thought it was a manhole cover surrounded by fallen leaves. It makes more sense now, but still isn’t funny. Though the Pope facepalm is priceless.
it’s a reference to a song done by The Lonely Island (i think?). i found this clip on youtube, and it looks like some of the screenshots were taken from it.
I think it’s pretty sad when 1) not many people know recent and hilarious clips from SNL and 2) the humor is not appreciated. This is the exact reason why my favorite shows end up getting canceled quickly (like Arrested Development).
Do yourself a favor each week. Go to Hulu and watch some clips from the latest SNL. They usually put up the 3 or so good clips from the show. Yes, I admit, watching the entire show can be a bit painful, but if you stick with it, there will definitely be a skit that will make up for what you had to endure.
This one is pretty dumb in my opinion.

Oh yeah, and who the fuck is that Rick Moranis wannabe in the bowler hat trying to look all Clockwork Orangish?
Pope facepalm is awesome.
lame.
I don’t get it….

I am confused…
See my comment on Coco’s post.
…am I stupid for not understanding this, or is it just beyond understanding?
the pope huffed and puffed and blew his b-day cake on the ground.. happy b-day ground!

I thought it was going to be about the guy in the background of the pope who is blowing his nose.

Have none of you seen Lonely Island’s ‘Threw it on the Ground’?? That’s why you don’t get it! This is hilarious!!!! =O )

It’d make more sense if you saw the SNL short On the Ground. I think it’s hilarious o_o.
Now that I’ve seen the original SNL skit, my hate has grown two fold.
Can’t this be defined as like, plagiarism or something?
